One of the newest and most exciting methods available today is what's known as Crystal Light Bed Therapy. A treatment which combines aspects of mind and body relaxation with the natural healing power of crystals, colour and light.

The Crystal Light unit which I use is from the official supplier in Goiás, Brazil. Cheaper copies use non-energised quartz or even glass.

During a treatment, you are invited to lie fully clothed as seven highly polished quartz Vogel cut quartz crystals are suspended approximately 40cm above the body which are aligned with the seven main energy centres, known as the chakras. The light beams travel through the highly polished quartz crystal energy generators which match the vibrational frequency of each corresponding chakra colour. The light shines or pulsates through the crystals to bathe your body in a pattern of healing lights.

In addition to the colour, light and crystals, there is a sound healing component involved as soothing holistic music is played during a treatment to encourage a deep state of relaxation as part of the whole experience.

As a generally non-invasive treatment, it is considered safe for most people. However, I would advise against for:

People with a pacemaker
People with epilepsy
